Why the Same Jeans Show Up at Two Prices: How Boutique Sale Racks Work Online
The first time you shop Snagged & Bagged, a few things look odd. The same Free People sweater shows up twice at two different prices. A pair of boots exists in exactly one size. Everything says final sale. All of it has the same explanation, so here it is.
The short answer
Snagged & Bagged is an online marketplace for the sale racks of thousands of independent boutiques across the US. We don't own the merchandise or set the prices. Each boutique lists its own unsold, brand-new-with-tags pieces and decides what to charge. That's why prices vary, sizes are limited, and sales are final.
Where the clothes come from
A boutique owner buys for her town. She picks the brands, the styles and the size spread she thinks her customers will love, with her own money on the line. Most of it sells. Some of it doesn't, not because anything is wrong with it, but because the woman it was meant for lives three states away.
At the end of a season, that boutique has a rack of brand-new pieces with tags still on. Before, her only options were to mark them down again and hope, or box them up. Now she can list them on Snagged & Bagged, where shoppers across the country can find them.
So every item here was chosen by a boutique buyer first. The curation already happened. We just widened the audience.
Why the same item can have two prices
Fifty boutiques may have bought the same Z Supply pullover. Each one is now holding its last few, and each one has its own reasons for the price it sets: how long it's been on the rack, how much room she needs for the next season, what she paid. When two of those shops list the same style, you see two prices.
Nothing is wrong with either listing. Pick the one in your size at the price you like.
Why most items come in one or two sizes
Because it's the real end of a real rack. A warehouse has every size. A boutique's sale rack has the medium nobody bought and the 8.5 that was one too many. If you see your size, that's the one.
If it's gone, check back. Another boutique may list the same style next week. New arrivals land every day.
Why everything is brand new
It never sold, so nobody wore it. Every item on Snagged & Bagged is brand new with tags. We are not a resale or consignment site, and nothing here is pre-owned.
Why it's final sale
The boutique already priced it to move, and once it leaves the shop it doesn't go back on the rack. It's the same policy you'd find on the sale rack of most locally owned stores, and we reflect our boutique partners' rules.
The one exception: if what arrives is the wrong item or damaged, email info@snaggedandbagged.com with your order number and photos within 7 days of delivery. If approved, we send a prepaid return label and issue a full refund.
Why your order might come in more than one box
Items ship from the nearest warehouse, so an order with pieces from different places may arrive in separate packages, each with its own tracking. Shipping is still one $5 flat rate for the whole order.
How to shop it well
- Start with a brand you know. You already know how Vince or Dolce Vita fits you. That's the safest way to buy final sale. Browse by brand.
- Read the measurements. Boutique listings often include them. Compare against something you own.
- Don't wait on your size. If it's the one listing in your size, it's the one.
